Ask this question….what are we doing to be ready for the next “abnormal” situation? Are the threats to your jurisdiction known? Are leaders and official aware of the situations that cause peril and the plans that support phased readiness, response and recovery?
NWEM supports resilience efforts at all levels. Family, group, organizational and regional preparedness efforts pay off. The 2017 disaster season taxed response agencies, leaving many to fend for themselves for hours, days and weeks in some cases.
